A Letter From Our Founding Pastor....
On July 15, 1995, 20 years of partying came down to a moment of decision — everything important to me was going to be taken from me because of my choices. At that moment, I had to decide to lie or tell the truth. I chose Truth and the Lord set me free. Four years later in a committed Bible study, the verse, “Do you love me — feed my sheep?!” came alive in such a powerful way. Not to respond would have felt like living a lie.
I was directed to the Rosemere/Rose Village neighborhood to serve in any way I could to help the broken families, especially those with kids — to bring hope! The vision the Lord placed on my heart was of a gymnasium. The vision expanded as our growing staff realized you could not help the children until the parents were set free from their addictions of many kinds, specifically meth. Miracles have been many, the price has been great but the pearls are being found and the community is blossoming. I would encourage the church and plea to the community to take ownership in this venture. The harvest is plenty but the workers are few.
